【海外インターン生】ルミナリエを見てきました！ | メガランプマガジン

Merhaba. (メルハバ)！

唐突にトルコ語で挨拶してみました。メガランプマガジンのデザイン担当兼ライター、みずたけです。

メルハバはこんにちは、という意味でして、今年も自分たちの会社で行っている社内取り組みのひとつ、海外からのインターンシップ生の受け入れの季節がやってまいりました。

今年はトルコからきたセファさんです。以下、英語からの翻訳文を掲載します。

こんにちは

私の名前はハリス・セファ・サラムです。トルコからのインターンシップ学生として日本に来ました。私はいつも日本と日本の文化に興味があり、探求したいと思っています。なぜなら日本には独自の文化があり、それを絶やさないように意識を持ち続けているからです。

このインターンシップの機会は、私の人生において叶えたいことをもたらしてくれました。インターン先の会社は面接の後、私をインターンシップ生として受け入れてくれました。主な理由としては小野社長は以前にトルコを訪問し、トルコに対して親近感を覚えてくれていたからのようです。

私の会社は神戸にあるオノライティング株式会社の本社で、東京にも支店があります。私は日本に来る前に調べた結果、神戸にはとても特別なイベントがあることを知っていました。 それは「ルミナリエ」と呼ばれるイルミネーションのイベントで、阪神大震災が起こった1995年から、追悼の意味を込めて毎年12月に行われているものです。

インターンシップ期間中にそのイベントが開催されたため、私はとてもラッキーでした。ルミナリエはただの光のイベントではなく、後述するような深い意味のあるもので、私はとても見に行きたいと思っていたからです。

阪神大震災は6000人以上の死者を出し、神戸に図りしれないほどの被害を残しました。電気や水の供給が止まったため、多くの人が暗闇の中で生活しなければならない状況でした。
イベントを通じて震災の記憶を保ち、復興のシンボルとして明かりを照らすというアイデアには、私はとても胸を打たれました。

特に、痛ましいほどの地震による被害を受け、亡くなった人たちや、生き残った人たちのことに想いをはせると、とても感慨深く感じました。

ルミナリエは日本に着いてからずっと楽しみにしていましたが、ついにその日が来て、私はまず開催している周囲のエリア（元町からスタート）を歩いていく必要がありました。なぜならルミナリエはとても沢山の人が観に来るので、人々がごった返さないように列を作らなければならないからです。

観に来ている人みんながとても楽しんでいて、私自身も最初にルミナリエの光の装飾が見えたときにはとても興奮して、言葉では言い表せないほどでした。

私は気温の冷たさも混雑も忘れて、荘厳な音楽を聞きながら観る光のショーは、かつてそこで起こった地震へと想いを馳せさせました。全て見終わるには約1時間ほどでした。

見終わった後の終着点のまわりには、出店が出ていて日本の伝統的な食べ物や、飲み物を買うことができ、ショーの余韻を楽しむことができます。私が撮った写真を以下に載せておきます。

My name is Halis Sefa Saglam, I am an internship student from Turkey. I always curious and want to explore Japan and Japanese culture. Because japan has unique culture and still keeping it with passion.

This internship opportunity gave it to me a change for achieving my one of the life desired. The company accepted to my internship application just in end of the interviewed, the main reason; president of the company Mr. Ono visited to Turkey before and has a knowledge about Turkey.

My company is ONO Lighting Corporation main office located in Kobe also have　branch in Tokyo.

I found out very exclusive and memorable event held in Kobe before coming to Japan, that’s called by “Luminarie” light festival every December since 1995 to commemorate the Great Hanshin Earthquake. I was lucky because that event held in during my internship time.

I really wanted to see this ceremony because it is not just light show it has also deeply meaning. The great earthquake left more than 6000 dead and countless damages in Kobe. Since many people had to live in darkness due to supply cuts in electricity and water. The idea of putting up lights as a symbol of recovery, renovation and hope.

One moment all lights are cut off, that’s remaining to earthquake all people in the Luminarie. The idea of commemorate by the light show impress to me because it appears, who lost their life and who survive with so much damages in painful earthquake.

I was looking forward to see the show since when arrived in Japan. Finally, big day came, firstly I have to walk around the event area (Started from Motomachi station) because so many people wants see the light shows that is the best solution making a line for avoid of any problem.

Everybody was in exciting to see the light show then when I reached the starting point of the light show my first impression was can’t explain with the words.   

I forgot the cold weather and crowded. Seeing the Light show with listening deeply impressive music turned me to earthquake moments.

It takes around one hour to seeing all light shows. End of the light show road you can buy several types of Japanese traditional foods and drinks from street vendors, and you can enjoy the moment.
